The house we needed to sell is a run of the mill track home built by one of the better home builders in the area. It's located in an average neighborhood with decent access to shops and restaurants. There is nothing spectacular about it, but it did have a couple of features that we were proud to have added. It's similar to the dozens of other homes that were for sale at the time. Trends showed that homes were being sold at a loss or sitting on the market for months. We were in a pickle because we were moving out of state before school started and would have to find a realtor that we could trust, that would work for us, and that would make selling our house a priority. William is that realtor. He not only made us feel like ours was the only property he was selling but he was able to get it sold long before we had expected and for more than we could have hoped. William is a steadfast realtor who never wavered from actively seeking a buyer or diligently marketing the property. This was the worst possible market for selling a house you could imagine. There were way too many houses for sale, the houses that were for sale had been on the market for weeks, or even months in some cases, and the sales that were going through were well under what those houses were valued at. We were pessimistic about selling our house, the possibility of making a profit, and even more so about all this while we were setting up our new life in a different state. Then we spoke to William. Of course he wasn't the first Realtor we spoke to. We shopped around a bit trying to find one that fit our needs and would make the sale of our home an important priority. The other realtors were down about the market (understandably) or undervalued our house, ignoring the equity we had built into the place. When you are going through something like trying to sell your home, the last thing you want reflected back from the person who is supposed to facilitate the biggest life change you've gone through is ennui. William was unlike any other realtor we spoke to. His excitement was almost palpable. He started with an overview of the area, the neighborhood and comparable properties then went through the big ticket items, one by one, noting important details and making sure to list things that set our home apart from others in the neighborhood. Once the information was compiled, he put together a presentation and what a presentation it was! William knew the condition of the market and was realistic about things but had a plan, actually, a couple of plans. He laid out his game plan and contingencies for us, fluctuating between being realistic and hopeful. William didn't try to over-promise but was positive about our chances of selling within, if not close to, the timeframe we were hoping to (which was not long because of the out of state move, mind you). Once we signed on with him, we quickly learned that "Plan A" wasn't going to pan out like we had hoped. William quickly pivoted to "Plan B" communicating every step he was taking and every action he engaged. Even though we were several states away by this point we never wondered what was going on or if anything was being done. On the few occasions when we did have questions William responded quickly and confidently. There were a couple of details that we had neglected to consider and William helped us with getting them taken care of. It did take a month or so to sell our house but it could have been much worse. William utilized all the tools at his disposal, navigating the rough waters of the worst housing market since I can remember. He knew how to keep the house hear the top of the home buying websites and services. He was able to ensure there was traffic through the property every week, even when there were a minimal number of buyers. If not for William Whipple, we would not be enjoying our new life halfway across the country. We are on solid financial ground, netted a decent profit from the sale of our home and have no regrets about the process of selling our home.

Moving to a new state is hard and buying a new home cane be stressful. William made sure I was in the loop the entire time, kept me up to date on the status of my build. Anytime I had questions he was my advocate and guide. Has lots of great suggestions on local attractions and a good resource for stuff like solar power and water softeners.
